The original M12 has remained largely unchanged since it was first designed by Fred Perry in the 50s. Legend has it that a buyer from the Lillywhites asked for the football team’s colours to be added to the plain Fred Perry Shirt. So Fred added subtle club colours to the collar and cuffs and our M12 was born. The product that took us from sportswear to streetwear and the first to feature our signature two-pronged 5-4-4 ratio that is unique to us. Designed with Fred’s signature slim fit – slightly boxier than our M3600 – it’s a painstaking effort, with each polo hand-knitted, dyed, cut, embroidered and finished in Leicester, England.
